Poppi Soda Buyers Alert: Claim Your Refunds in Class Action Settlement!

Consumers who purchased Poppi sodas between January 2020 and July 2025 can now file claims for refunds as part of an $8.9 million class action settlement. This legal resolution addresses allegations that the beverage brand falsely marketed its products as “gut healthy.”

Under the settlement terms, consumers can claim refunds for all flavors and sizes of Poppi sodas bought for household consumption in the United States. Eligible individuals will receive refunds up to 75 cents per single can, $3 per 4-pack, $6 for an 8-pack, and $9 for a 12-pack or 15-pack. Moreover, consumers with receipts or proof of purchase can claim the full amounts, while those without can still submit claims but will be limited to a maximum of $16 per household.

The lawsuit contended that Poppi misrepresented the health benefits of its sodas. It was noted that a consumer would need to drink four or more cans to derive any actual health benefits from the prebiotic fiber, yet the sugar content in the drinks would negate these benefits. Plaintiffs argued that they made purchases or paid premium prices based on misleading health claims.

Although Poppi has agreed to settle the case, the company denies any wrongdoing and asserts that its labeling is truthful and accurate.

For those interested in filing a claim, submissions can be made online at www.poppisettlement.com until September 26, 2025, or by mail to the designated settlement administrator at a specified address. A final approval hearing is set for November 20, 2025, after which payments will be distributed within 90 days if the settlement is approved. It is important to note that actual payout amounts may vary based on the total number of approved claims and administrative costs.

This settlement not only provides consumers with an opportunity to get refunds but also highlights the importance of truthful marketing, potentially paving the way for more transparency in how health claims are made in the food and beverage industry.
