Police volleyball assistant coach Eparama Curubula has reaffirmed the team’s commitment to maintaining their dominance in the Sukuna Bowl, despite their impressive streak of eight consecutive championships. “We are not counting the number of times we have won before; instead, we are focused on the battle ahead,” he stated, as preparations ramp up for the highly anticipated 2025 showdown against the Army team.

Curubula acknowledged the Army’s continuous improvement and readiness to challenge for the title. “We stand ready to give Army the game they are expecting – it will be nothing new for them,” he remarked, showing both respect for the competition and confidence in their own capabilities.

Discipline has been a cornerstone of the team’s ethos, according to Curubula. He emphasized that any player who does not adhere to the team’s standards, regardless of their role, will face consequences, highlighting a strong dedication to maintaining acceptable behavior during rigorous training sessions.

The assistant coach also took the opportunity to thank the families of the players for their consistent support as the Police gear up for another intense Sukuna Bowl. The tournament is scheduled from the 17th to the 21st of this month and will feature a variety of events, including live broadcasts of men’s soccer and rugby matches on FBC Sports.
