Police Investigations Get a Boost: Week-Long Empowerment Workshop

Police officers have been reminded of the importance of their investigative work as the Western Division kicked off a week-long Investigators Empowerment Workshop. The training, which aims to enhance the skills of officers, began yesterday at the Western Division Training Room, spearheaded by Deputy Divisional Police Commander West, Superintendent of Police Aisake Kafoa.

During the launch, Superintendent Kafoa highlighted that the true effectiveness of police work is reflected in the outcomes of their investigations. He pointed out that when cases fail in court, the police often face criticism for inadequacies in their investigative procedures. This serves as a reminder of the critical role that thorough and competent investigations play in the judicial process.

SP Kafoa encouraged all participants to engage in the workshop with an open mind, stressing its significance as a chance to refine investigative abilities and enhance the overall quality of service they provide to the community. This initiative underscores a proactive approach to professional development within the police force, ultimately aiming to build public trust and ensure justice is effectively served.
