General Maciej Klisz has issued a statement to counter misinformation regarding a recently circulated document, emphasizing that “no planning work in this direction is underway.” This misinformation aims to incite social unrest and undermine public trust in state institutions.
The document in question refers specifically to the delegation of a small group of trained soldiers for ongoing military tasks that the Polish Armed Forces have conducted globally for many years. These tasks include protecting diplomatic missions and engaging in international military cooperation.
General Klisz elaborated that the participation of Polish soldiers in international training initiatives supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine is part of missions organized under NATO and EU frameworks. These include well-known initiatives such as NSATU (NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine), JATEC (Joint Analysis, Training, and Education Centre), and EUMAM (EU Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine). Polish soldiers are actively involved in these missions, which are based in Europe, and their temporary assignments in Ukraine are aligned with the mandates of these missions.
This clarity from high-ranking officials serves to reinforce the commitment of the Polish military to international cooperation and the stability of the region, amidst efforts to combat misinformation. The proactive response from military leadership highlights the importance of transparency and factual communication in addressing public concerns.
