FASANOC is set to join forces with the Fiji Sports Council to host a Pinktober Morning Tea event tomorrow at 10 AM at the FMF Gymnasium, aiming to bring together sports and the community in support of the Fiji Cancer Society. This initiative continues the momentum established during last year’s event, which successfully raised $1,385 for the Society. Organizers are encouraging National Federations and the public to participate generously once again.
Admission is free, and attendees are welcomed to make donations at the door or online. The event will feature presentations from speakers from the Fiji Cancer Society who will discuss the vital importance of early testing and regular check-ups, reiterating a key message from cancer survivors: early detection saves lives.
Participants can also look forward to exciting community raffles with prizes including Team Fiji backpacks, tracksuits, and running shoes. Awards will be presented for the best “pink” attire for both males and females, along with lucky dip prizes to engage attendees.
Every ticket and teacup purchased will contribute to funding critical services offered by the Fiji Cancer Society for patients and their families, underscoring the importance of collective generosity in this fight.
