PHOENIX — The City of Phoenix is set to debut its first-ever drone light show in honor of Independence Day at Deer Valley Park on June 21 during the beloved After Dark in the Park celebration.
District 1 Vice Mayor Ann O’Brien highlighted the significance of this event, stating, “After Dark in the Park has been a pre-Fourth of July tradition for decades in District 1. This year, we are excited to present the city’s inaugural drone light show instead of fireworks. While I appreciate traditional fireworks, this innovative and sustainable approach allows us to provide a fresh experience for our community.”
The After Dark in the Park event will feature live music from the Powerdrive Band, food trucks, inflatables, and much more. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to fully enjoy the festivities.

– **When:** Saturday, June 21, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The drone light show is scheduled to begin at 8:45 p.m.
– **Location:** Deer Valley Park, 19602 N. 19th Ave., Phoenix.
For those unable to attend the drone show, the city will also host its annual Fabulous Phoenix 4th at Steele Indian School Park on July 4th from 6-10 p.m., offering another vibrant way to celebrate Independence Day.
**Important note:** There will be no vehicle entrance or public parking at the event. Attendees can use one of the three designated pedestrian entrances, located at Central Ave. and Glenrosa Ave., 3rd St. and Indian School Rd., or 7th St. just north of Turney Ave. Admission is free.
