Phoenix firefighters responded to a serious three-vehicle accident on Saturday morning near 35th Avenue and Cactus Road, which left eight individuals needing medical attention. The crash, occurring around 10:30 a.m., resulted in three people—an adult male, an adult female, and a young boy—being transported to local hospitals in critical condition.

Upon their arrival, firefighters found multiple patients at the scene. Captain Mike Johnson II of the Phoenix Fire Department confirmed that “a total of eight patients were evaluated. Six patients were transported to local hospitals.”

The conditions of the patients were detailed as follows:

– A pediatric male in critical condition was transported as an immediate priority.
– An adult male in critical condition was also transported immediately.
– An adult female in critical condition was similarly rushed to the hospital.
– Two pediatric males with minor injuries were transported as delayed cases.
– A pediatric female with minor injuries was also transported as a delayed case.
– Two individuals at the scene chose to refuse transportation to the hospital.

The names and ages of those involved in the accident have not yet been disclosed to the public. The investigation regarding the crash has been turned over to the Phoenix Police Department for further examination.

Notably, the Phoenix Fire Department initially released information indicating another pediatric male being transported as a delayed case with minor injuries, but this statement was later retracted.

This incident has raised concerns about road safety in the area, highlighting the need for caution among drivers, particularly in busy intersections. As investigations proceed, authorities are expected to provide updates on the situation and the health status of those affected.
