“Philly in Shock: Three Shooting Incidents Over Labor Day Weekend”

Three men were shot in various incidents throughout Philadelphia from Sunday to Monday during the early days of September 2024.

The most recent incident occurred early Monday morning, on Labor Day, at approximately 12:29 a.m. in the 4800 block of North Broad Street. A 24-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his right arm and was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was admitted in stable condition.

Earlier, around 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, another 24-year-old man was shot in the left arm in the 5600 block of Master Street. He was also transported to the same medical center, where he was admitted in stable condition.

At approximately 9:49 p.m. on Sunday, a 31-year-old man was shot in the back in the 6100 block of Algon Avenue. During this investigation, officers discovered another location with shell casings in the 6100 block of Lovatt Terrace. The injured man was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center and was admitted in stable condition.

As of now, the motives behind these incidents of gun violence remain unknown, no weapons have been recovered, and no arrests have been made. The investigations are ongoing.
