Rockland native Phil Rosenthal is bringing his beloved show to The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester on November 7, making it the 30th stop on his Fall 2025 tour, which commenced in August in Monterey, California. Widely recognized for his role as the showrunner and executive producer of the iconic sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond,” Rosenthal also captivates audiences as the host of the acclaimed travel and food series “Somebody Feed Phil.”

At each location on his tour, he is joined by a different moderator who engages him in conversation before opening the floor to questions from attendees. For the Westchester performance, actress, author, and food blogger Alissa Salvatore will moderate the event. Rosenthal’s local connections run deep; he is a proud graduate of Clarkstown North High School, making this a highly anticipated event for fans eager to hear him share insights from his career.

Adding to the excitement, Rosenthal is preparing to launch his new restaurant, Max and Helen’s, in Los Angeles, named in tribute to his parents, who are long-time residents of New City. Additionally, his latest cookbook, “Phil’s Favorites,” is set to be released on November 4, generating further buzz among his followers.

In a recent interview, Rosenthal opened up about the curiosity of his audience, humorously noting that one common question is how he stays fit while indulging in the diverse foods he showcases. He playfully teased that those interested must attend the show to uncover his secret. The interactive nature of his performances came to life when he described a memorable interaction with a young fan who asked him, “What’s your favorite color?” After he answered “blue,” the child graciously thanked him, a testament to the heartfelt connections he builds with his audience.

Fans typically inquire about his family life, his wife Monica, and entertaining travel stories. Rosenthal has crafted his show to include a seven-minute highlight reel followed by a lively dialogue with the moderator, culminating in an engaging Q&A session with the audience.

Food remains a central theme in his storytelling. He shared a vivid memory of an incredible burger he savored in Dubai, prepared by a Syrian chef striving to create the perfect American cheeseburger. Despite his adventurous culinary explorations, Rosenthal revealed that his go-to meals off-camera are more straightforward and comforting, including hot dogs and yogurt with fruit. He insists that while he may not be a trained chef, his cookbooks showcase his favorite dishes inspired by esteemed chefs, making them particularly meaningful.

Reflecting on his upbringing, Rosenthal shared a valuable piece of advice from his parents: the importance of having a backup plan while pursuing a career in the arts, a guideline he candidly admits he didn’t adhere to.

Looking ahead, Rosenthal expressed his desire that “Somebody Feed Phil” motivates future generations to travel, highlighting the significance of immersing oneself in various cultures through the lens of food and humor.

As excitement builds for his upcoming Westchester show, Rosenthal continues to engage and delight audiences with his unique combination of humor, storytelling, and culinary adventure.
