Pete Davidson is set to launch his own podcast for Netflix, titled The Pete Davidson Show, marking the platform’s inaugural original video podcast. This venture represents a significant step in Netflix’s expansion into the podcasting realm, following the introduction of several popular third-party podcasts, including The Bill Simmons Podcast and the Ringer series.

Scheduled to premiere on January 30, The Pete Davidson Show will be exclusive to Netflix, meaning it will not be available on other platforms such as the Apple podcast app. Davidson plans to film the podcast primarily in his garage, a space he refers to as one where “all the best conversations happen,” though he will also take it on the road for various episodes.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Davidson stated, “Netflix was the home of one of my first stand-up specials, so it felt right to bring the podcast there, too. It’s me and my friends talking about anything and everything. It’s going to be a great time.”

This latest endeavor marks Davidson’s fourth collaboration with Netflix, which has previously showcased two of his comedy specials—Pete Davidson: Turbo Fonzarelli and Pete Davidson: Alive from New York. He also hosted and curated a series during the Netflix Is a Joke Fest titled Pete Davidson Presents: The Best Friends.

The Pete Davidson Show is produced by Marc Lieberman, president of Above Average, the digital arm of Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video, with direction from Sarah Brennan Kolb, who also produced Turbo Fonzarelli. Davidson’s entry into the podcast space aligns with a growing trend where platforms like Netflix are diversifying their content offerings to include a wider variety of formats, engaging audiences in new and exciting ways.
