Pete Davidson has come to the defense of Pedro Pascal amidst criticism that the prolific actor appears in too many media projects simultaneously. Pascal’s recent portfolio has been quite extensive, featuring in the second season of HBO’s The Last of Us and appearing in films like Gladiator II, Eddington, Materialists, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, all of which premiered within a year.

During his appearance on This Past Weekend with Theo Von, Davidson expressed admiration for Pascal, describing him as a “hardworking” and “great actor.” He praised Pascal’s dedication, likening his career to a compelling rise after years of being a struggling actor. Davidson noted the shift in public perception from adoration to overexposure as people quickly change their stance about celebrities. He highlighted Pascal’s hardworking nature, commenting, “He’s worked so hard, he’s been a struggling actor and blows up so f***ing hard.”

Davidson emphasized the need for patience as Pascal adjusts to his newfound level of fame, stating, “You have to give that guy a second to adjust.” He further suggested that actor Walton Goggins, known for his versatile roles, might soon experience a similar trajectory of intense attention followed by saturation.

Pascal’s momentum doesn’t seem to be slowing, with roles in upcoming major projects such as The Mandalorian and Grogu film and Avengers: Doomsday, where he will reprise his role as Mister Fantastic. Both films are slated for release in 2026. Davidson’s comments highlight the entertainment industry’s rapid pace, where fame can be both a blessing and a challenge, demanding resilience and adaptability from those in the spotlight.
