Pennsylvania Opens Nominations for Equity in Early Childhood Awards!

Applications are now open for Pennsylvania’s fourth annual Equity in Early Childhood Champion Awards, which celebrate and promote equity initiatives in early childhood education. This award aims to raise awareness of the important equity efforts taking place within various educational settings, including childcare, evidence-based home visiting programs, and early intervention services.

The awards recognize individuals and organizations that align with the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s (NAEYC) Position Statement on Advancing Equity in Early Childhood Education. This recognition extends to professionals and programs that have made significant contributions to fostering diversity and inclusion, championing fairness and justice, and actively working to dismantle structural inequities that obstruct equal learning opportunities for all children.

Nominees must demonstrate their commitment to supporting children and their families across these critical areas. The application process is open until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, January 24. Interested parties can find more information and submit their applications by visiting The Pennsylvania Key website.

This initiative not only honors those dedicated to fostering equity but also inspires continued efforts toward inclusive education in Pennsylvania, paving the way for a brighter future for all children. By recognizing and supporting these vital contributions, Pennsylvania reaffirms its commitment to creating an equitable educational landscape.
