Patriots Extend Win Streak as Drake Maye Shines Against Titans

The New England Patriots showcased their prowess once again with a commanding 31-13 victory against the Tennessee Titans, marking their fourth consecutive win. Second-year quarterback Drake Maye delivered an outstanding performance, completing 21 of 23 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns, demonstrating his growing command of the game.

Adding to the success, Maye benefitted significantly from a revitalized rushing attack led by Rhamondre Stevenson, who rushed for 88 yards on 18 carries. This performance was notable, especially given that Stevenson had only accumulated 70 rushing yards in his previous three outings combined.

The Patriots’ defense also played a crucial role in securing the win, bouncing back from a slow start to effectively nullify the Titans’ offense. Tennessee failed to make any red zone appearances and was shut out in the second half.

While the scoreline suggests a dominant display, Patriots Insider Phil Perry noted that there were still areas for improvement for the team, outlined in his Week 7 edition of “Stock Watch.”

Highlighted as “stock up” are players like Drake Maye, whose accuracy reached a franchise-record 91.3 percent during the game. Such feats are drawing comparisons to legendary quarterback Tom Brady. Rhamondre Stevenson also made the list, showing resilience and power on the ground that was much needed for the team’s offensive push.

Defensive edge players Harold Landry and K’Lavon Chaisson made significant impacts as well, combining for three sacks and seven pressures against rookie quarterback Cam Ward, with Chaisson notably capitalizing on a mistake for a touchdown.

On the flip side, rookie offensive guard Jared Wilson found himself struggling at times, being responsible for two of Maye’s sacks, and rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson only managed to see minimal playing time, indicating he still has room for growth in his role on the team.

Overall, the Patriots are building momentum, and with performances like Maye’s, there is a growing sense of optimism surrounding their season. Their ability to work through challenges while showcasing talent in various positions sets a positive tone as they look to build on their current success.
