Brittany Mahomes is expecting a third child with her husband, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The couple announced the news on Instagram on Friday.
The Mahomes were married in March 2022 and are parents to daughter Sterling Skye, 3, and son Patrick “Bronze,” 18 months.
They met at Whitehouse High School in Texas and started dating in 2012.
Brittany played collegiate soccer for the University of Texas at Tyler and spent one season with the Icelandic club Afturelding.
Patrick Mahomes played both baseball and football at Texas Tech before being selected by the Chiefs with the No. 10 pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. He has since led Kansas City to three Super Bowl championships.
The quarterback celebrated Kansas City’s most recent championship victory in February with his wife and two children on the field after the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime.
Mahomes is now aiming for his family to participate in another championship celebration next year, following his guarantee of a Chiefs three-peat in May.
No NFL team has ever won three straight Super Bowls, but Mahomes is determined to achieve this feat while aiming for his seventh consecutive season with at least 4,000 passing yards.
