Patrick Beverley’s Top Plays from Last Season as He Joins Hapoel Tel Aviv B.C.
NBA veteran guard Patrick Beverley has announced on social media that he is signing with Hapoel Tel Aviv BC of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. Beverley, who turned 36 this week, had been contemplating whether to sign a veteran minimum NBA contract or take a deal overseas.
He began his professional basketball career in Greece and Russia before spending the last 12 years in the NBA. Beverley started the 2023-24 season with the Philadelphia 76ers but was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks at the deadline in February to reunite with coach Doc Rivers.
Last season, he averaged 6.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game, shooting 41.7% from the field and 33.7% from three-point range over 73 games. With Milwaukee plagued by injuries in the playoffs, Beverley started all six of the Bucks’ playoff games before they were ultimately eliminated in the first round by the Indiana Pacers.
If Beverley returns to the NBA, he will face a four-game suspension for throwing the ball at Pacers fans multiple times during Game 6 of that playoff series. Beverley has played for five different teams since the start of the 2021-22 season and has not signed a multiyear contract since 2019.
