Actor Parvathy Thiruvothu recently opened up about the profound emotional impact of losing her former co-actors, Irrfan Khan and Puneeth Rajkumar. Speaking in an interview with Male Feminist, she reflected on her experiences working with both actors and how their absence still resonates with her, even years after their passing.
Parvathy collaborated with Irrfan Khan in the film Qarib Qarib Single and with Puneeth Rajkumar in Milana. As she revisited these projects, she expressed that the bond formed on set reached beyond mere professional relationships. “There’s something strange about losing a character to death. We created these characters and these worlds together, and it still hasn’t settled,” she noted, highlighting the lingering sense of loss that arises from such experiences.
Reflecting on her time with Irrfan, Parvathy spoke about the gentleness and respect he brought to his work. When asked if she considered him a feminist, she mentioned the emotional openness of his son Babil as an indication of the environment Irrfan fostered. “That softness,” she said, “doesn’t come from nowhere,” implying that empathy and sensitivity were integral to his character.
Parvathy’s fond memories of Puneeth Rajkumar echoed similar sentiments of admiration.
