Paige Spiranac stole the spotlight at the New York premiere of “Happy Gilmore 2” on Monday. The well-known golf influencer turned heads in a stunning fitted red dress with a sheer skirt, taking inspiration from the iconic Jessica Rabbit.
At the event held at Lincoln Center, Spiranac, 32, celebrated her cameo appearance in the eagerly awaited Netflix sequel to the classic 1996 comedy. She was joined by a star-studded cast including Adam Sandler, Julie Bowen, and Christopher McDonald, as well as newly crowned British Open champion Scottie Scheffler, who attended with his wife, Meredith, alongside the Claret Jug.
Spiranac expressed her excitement about being part of “Happy Gilmore 2,” and when the film’s teaser dropped in March, she shared her disbelief on social media, commenting, “The fact that I’m in the Happy Gilmore 2 movie is actually insane lol.” In her scene, she portrays a Dick’s Sporting Goods employee who assists Happy after he unintentionally damages a golf simulator, leaving bystanders shocked.
The film features a diverse lineup of guest appearances alongside Spiranac, including fellow golfers Bryson DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy, musician Bad Bunny, and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Sandler, who has directed and starred in both films, commended his co-stars for their performances, remarking, “Travis and Bunny are ridiculous in it… Every athlete kicks ass.”
“Happy Gilmore 2” is set to premiere on Netflix this Friday, promising to deliver both nostalgia and fresh laughs for fans of the original.
This collaboration highlights the intersection of sports and entertainment, showcasing how athletes and influencers can engage with their fans in new and exciting ways. Spiranac’s involvement is a testament to her growing influence in both the sports and entertainment worlds.
