Paige DeSorbo Opens Up About Life After “Summer House” Departure

Paige DeSorbo recently opened up about her departure from Bravo’s “Summer House,” sharing insights into her decision during an appearance on the “Bravo By Gays” podcast. DeSorbo, who was part of the cast since season 3, described her exit in June 2025 as a necessary step for her well-being and authenticity.

Reflecting on her time on the show, DeSorbo stated that she took months to consider her choice to leave. She felt a strong intuition while exiting the house last summer, sensing that it might be her last time in that environment. As the latest season progressed, she realized that she wasn’t in the right mental space and thought to herself, “Like, I’ll literally die,” if she were to film another season.

Her life circumstances have also shifted significantly since she joined the series in 2019. DeSorbo expressed that with her workload and personal growth, she could not be her true self on the show any longer. She acknowledged that her priorities had changed, stating, “I don’t want to go out on a Friday and Saturday night,” and felt it would be more fitting for a younger cast member to take her place.

Support for her decision has come from her co-stars, with Amanda Batula noting the exhausting demands of filming, including the relentless party lifestyle. Despite DeSorbo’s exit, Batula remains hopeful that DeSorbo will return to the show in the future, suggesting she might just be taking a “summer off.”

Other cast members have also shared their thoughts, including West Wilson, who found filming without DeSorbo challenging, and Kyle Cooke, who admitted being emotionally affected by her departure.

Additionally, two other cast members, Imrul Hassan and Lexi Wood, have also announced they will not be returning for the next season, further shaking up the lineup.

Fans can expect to see the remaining cast, including newlyweds Batula and Cooke, along with Ciara Miller and Carl Radke, when “Summer House” returns next year. Filming for the new season began in early July 2025 and is expected to wrap up by mid-to-late September.

This new chapter for DeSorbo carries the promise of personal growth and creative exploration, and it will be interesting to see how her journey unfolds as she focuses on her podcasting career and future projects.
