Paige DeSorbo Eyes Future Motherhood with Thoughtful Decision to Freeze Eggs

Paige DeSorbo, known for her role on “Summer House,” has expressed her aspirations of becoming a mother in the future, but she is taking her time with these plans. Following her breakup with “Southern Charm” star Craig Conover, DeSorbo is focusing on her health and security regarding motherhood.

In a recent episode of her “Giggly Squad” podcast, DeSorbo, now 33, revealed her thoughtful decision to freeze her eggs. This step, she explained, provides her some comfort and reassurance as she navigates her path forward. Previously, during her three-year relationship with Conover, the couple had discussed waiting a few years before starting a family. Interestingly, Conover had frozen his sperm, emphasizing his commitment to fatherhood.

While the reasons behind their split remain private, reports suggest that DeSorbo’s reservations about a traditional family life with Conover in South Carolina may have played a role. Rather than rushing into motherhood, DeSorbo has chosen to focus on her flourishing career in reality television.

The recent egg retrieval process yielded 28 eggs, with 13 being mature enough for potential embryo creation, which DeSorbo regards as a promising start. She understands that roughly half of those mature eggs may develop into viable embryos after fertilization and genetic testing. If she’s looking to enhance her chances further, a second retrieval could be on the table.

In sharing her experience, DeSorbo also shed light on the egg retrieval process, mentioning the discomfort and challenges she faced, including the effects on her body. Her candid reflections underscore the strength and resilience of women, asserting that society often overlooks their achievements and experiences.

As DeSorbo continues to pursue her goals both personally and professionally, her journey towards motherhood, when the time is right, reflects a thoughtful and empowered approach. New episodes of “Summer House” can be seen on Wednesdays on Bravo, providing fans even more insight into her life.
