Packers Hope Josh Jacobs Returns for Thanksgiving Clash With Lions

The Green Bay Packers are poised to welcome back running back Josh Jacobs for their Thanksgiving matchup against the Detroit Lions after he missed Week 12 due to a knee injury. Jacobs has fully recovered and carries no injury designation heading into the game, having participated in limited practice for three consecutive days leading up to Thursday.

In addition to Jacobs, the Packers are hopeful for the return of several players who were sidelined during their last game. Wide receiver Matthew Golden (shoulder), cornerback Nate Hobbs (knee), and linebacker Quay Walker (neck) are listed as questionable, joining cornerback Keisean Nixon (neck) in uncertainty for the Thanksgiving showdown.

Unfortunately, the team has ruled out defensive lineman Karl Brooks (ankle), defensive lineman Lukas Van Ness (foot), and wide receiver Savion Williams (foot) for the upcoming game. Meanwhile, wide receiver Jayden Reed (shoulder, foot) will remain on injured reserve and will not see activation this week.

On a positive note, quarterback Jordan Love (left shoulder), safety Javon Bullard (ankle), linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (foot, shoulder), tackle Zach Tom (back), and wide receivers Dontayvion Wicks (calf), Romeo Doubs (wrist), and Christian Watson (knee) have all avoided injury designations, reinforcing the team’s lineup for this key matchup.

As the Packers prepare for this important game, the return of Jacobs and the status of other key players could prove critical in their quest for a victory against the Lions.
