The Green Bay Packers achieved a convincing 30-7 victory over the Baltimore Ravens at Lambeau Field on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
With the starters observing from the sidelines, the Packers demonstrated their dominance, outpacing the Ravens 326 yards to 177. E Merryweather and N McCrary led the rushing attack with 74 and 64 yards, respectively, while Em. Wilson added 52 yards on the ground.
Quarterback Sean Clifford completed 6 of 14 passes for 53 yards, while Michael Pratt was more efficient, going 8 of 12 for 80 yards, with each tossing a touchdown. However, Pratt also faced an interception.
M Heath was a key target, making 4 catches for 39 yards. The competition for the Packers’ field goal kicker intensified during the game, as Greg Joseph successfully kicked field goals from 36 and 55 yards, while incumbent Anders Carlson made a 54-yarder.
The Packers held a 3-0 lead at the end of the first quarter, expanded it to 20-7 by halftime, and finished the third quarter at 30-7.
Looking ahead, the Packers are set to make roster cuts to meet the 53-player limit by 3 p.m. Central Time on Tuesday. Following that, they will prepare for their regular season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil on September 8.
