Rabuka mentioned that labor mobility was another key topic of discussion, with ministers agreeing on shared principles to facilitate the safe and inclusive movement of workers, benefiting communities and businesses alike.
In response to inquiries from Opposition MP Faiyaz Koya regarding the feasibility study on a potential partnership with the United Arab Emirates, Rabuka clarified that the Ministry of Trade is actively exploring various trading partners to develop and refine different agreements. He reiterated the Pacific’s unified commitment to fostering a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable regional economy through collaborative efforts in trade and investment.
