Pacific Island nations are rallying behind Australia’s initiative to host the 31st United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31), envisaging it as a “Pacific COP.” Vanuatu’s Climate Change Minister, Ralph Regenvanu, highlighted the critical urgency for this initiative, emphasizing the pressing nature of climate challenges and reiterating the Pacific Islands’ readiness to support Australia in securing this pivotal global event.
