The 2024-25 NHL season is underway, with a comprehensive schedule available on ESPN networks, including ESPN+, in the United States.
The NHL season kicks off on Tuesday, October 8th, and ESPN will feature 100 exclusive games this season on ESPN, ESPN+, Hulu, and ABC, alongside over 1,050 out-of-market games via NHL Power Play on ESPN+.
The broadcasting schedule begins with a tripleheader on Tuesday: the St. Louis Blues face the Seattle Kraken at 4:30 p.m. ET, the Boston Bruins take on the Florida Panthers at 7 p.m. ET, and the Chicago Blackhawks meet the Utah Hockey Club at 10 p.m. ET.
The NHL Frozen Frenzy returns on October 22nd, offering a night packed with hockey featuring all 32 teams. This includes another set of three games starting at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN: the Washington Capitals against the Philadelphia Flyers, the Colorado Avalanche versus the Seattle Kraken, and the Los Angeles Kings battling the Vegas Golden Knights. The remaining 13 games will be available on NHL Power Play through ESPN+. A live show will also provide previews and highlights from all 16 games.
The NHL 4 Nations Faceoff is scheduled from February 12 to 20, where teams comprised of NHL players will represent the United States, Canada, Finland, and Sweden in a round-robin tournament. Three round-robin games and the championship match will be broadcast on ESPN and ABC.
On March 1st, the Stadium Series returns to ESPN, featuring the Columbus Blue Jackets hosting the Detroit Red Wings at Ohio Stadium, the home of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
