P.K. Subban has shared his insights on why he believes the Edmonton Oilers will secure the Stanley Cup this season after falling short last year.
The 2024-25 NHL season officially kicks off on October 8, and ESPN’s networks will be the premier destination for hockey coverage in the United States.
This season, fans can look forward to 100 exclusive games airing on ESPN, ESPN+, Hulu, and ABC, along with more than 1,050 out-of-market games offered through NHL Power Play on ESPN+.
The broadcasting season opens with an exciting triple-header on the first day: St. Louis Blues will face off against the Seattle Kraken at 4:30 p.m. ET, the Boston Bruins will play the Florida Panthers at 7:00 p.m. ET, and the Chicago Blackhawks will compete against the Utah Hockey Club at 10:00 p.m. ET.
On October 22, the NHL Frozen Frenzy returns, featuring all 32 teams in action. This special night will also include another triple-header starting at 6:00 p.m. ET on ESPN: Washington Capitals will take on the Philadelphia Flyers, Colorado Avalanche will face Seattle, and the Los Angeles Kings will play against the Vegas Golden Knights. In addition, 13 other games will be available via NHL Power Play on ESPN+, complete with a live show featuring previews and highlights from all 16 matchups.
From February 12 to 20, the NHL 4 Nations Faceoff will be held, showcasing NHL players representing the United States, Canada, Finland, and Sweden in a round-robin tournament. Three round-robin games and the championship match will be broadcasted on ESPN and ABC.
The Stadium Series returns to ESPN on March 1, featuring the Columbus Blue Jackets hosting the Detroit Red Wings at Ohio Stadium, home of the Ohio State Buckeyes football team.
