P.J. Hall’s determination in the professional basketball landscape has yielded rewarding results once again. After navigating through multiple NBA and G-League rosters over the past year, the former Clemson Tigers standout has secured a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets.
According to reports, Hall is signing the contract after showcasing his talents with Charlotte’s G-League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm. Over his time in the G-League, Hall has been impressive, boasting averages of 14.8 points and 9.1 rebounds while shooting an impressive 62.3%. During his stint with the Swarm, he played an essential role in helping the team clinch its first Summer League championship.
Hall’s transition to the Hornets comes as a timely opportunity, allowing him to integrate into a system he has become familiar with. In just under 15 minutes per game, Hall demonstrated his ability to contribute significantly by averaging 9.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, one assist, and 1.6 blocks.
Having gone undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft, Hall initially signed a two-way deal with the Denver Nuggets, appearing in 19 regular-season games while also making a name for himself with the Grand Rapids Gold in the G-League. Although his time in Denver came to an end in June, he soon found another two-way opportunity with the Memphis Grizzlies. However, his time in Memphis was brief, where he logged only five games, although he managed to achieve a personal best with seven points, three rebounds, and a block in a career-high 14 minutes during one matchup.
Despite limited appearances in the NBA, Hall shined in the G-League, including a dazzling 27-point performance to kick off 2025 with the Memphis Hustle. Still, after being released from the Grizzlies, Hall returned to the Swarm in late November after a trade with the Mexico City Capitanes, positioning him back in a supportive environment.
Since rejoining the Swarm, Hall has maintained an impactful presence, averaging 14 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and 1.5 blocks per game, with four double-doubles in 11 games played. This latest signing by the Hornets is a low-risk, high-reward decision, providing Hall with yet another opportunity to showcase his talent on the grand stage. As Hall continues his journey, both he and the Hornets are hopeful that this partnership will bear fruitful results as he aims to solidify his place in the NBA.
