The upcoming month offers a diverse range of events and opportunities for community engagement in Overland Park. From artistic exhibitions to government meetings, residents are encouraged to participate and gain insight into local initiatives.

The “Art at the Center: Chico Sierra Exhibit” showcases the compelling work of visual artist Chico Sierra, running from January 19 to February 22 at the Tomahawk Ridge Community Center. This exhibition features bold pieces that blend cultural history, humanism, and social justice, prompting viewers to reconsider notions of identity and class.

Another ongoing exhibition is the “Botanical Illustration Panel Exhibition,” which presents intricate plant studies dating back over 500 years. This exhibit can be explored until October 31 and celebrates the artistry and significance of botanical illustration.
