Production on the fifth and final season of “Outer Banks” continues in Dubrovnik, Croatia, despite an on-set incident involving co-creator and director Jonas Pate. Reports emerged that Pate allegedly grabbed and shook a production assistant during a heated confrontation earlier this week.

Sources reveal that the altercation escalated to the point where fellow cast member Chase Stokes, who portrays John B. Routledge, intervened to separate Pate and the crew member, while actress Madelyn Cline, known for her role as Sarah Cameron, also attempted to diffuse the situation.

Despite the incident, production has not been interrupted, with Pate continuing his directing duties. He typically helms six out of the ten episodes each season for the popular Netflix series, which was renewed for its fifth season last November ahead of the much-anticipated Season 4, Part 2 release.

The fourth season concluded with the Pogues in Morocco as they pursued Blackbeard’s treasure, capping off with an emotional finale that saw the demise of a beloved character, JJ Maybank, portrayed by Rudy Pankow, who tragically meets his end at the hands of his biological father.

Netflix has refrained from commenting on the incident but continues to support the show’s production. Fans remain hopeful that the final season will deliver the thrilling conclusion to the adventures of the Pogues that audiences have come to cherish.
