Orville Peck is making a notable comeback with his latest single, “Drift Away,” signaling his return to solo music after collaborations with artists such as Noah Cyrus on “Love Is a Canyon” and Kesha for “Tennessee,” which also includes contributions from Hudson Mohawke and Tayla Parx. This single will be part of the album “All Things Go: 10 Years,” set to release on November 7, with all proceeds going to support The Ally Coalition, founded by Jack and Rachel Antonoff.
Peck’s recent work has seen him venture into genre-defying territory, exemplified by his 2022 duets album “Stampede.” This project showcases collaborations with notable artists, including Kylie Minogue, Diplo, Beck, and Willie Nelson, among others. The album is a testament to his ability to blend various musical styles, pushing the boundaries of country music while incorporating diverse influences.
“Drift Away” captures the essence of small-town feelings in a post-pandemic landscape, expressing the collective yearning many experience today. This release comes just before Peck’s highly anticipated seventh Annual Rodeo, taking place from November 14 to 16 in Pioneertown, California, at the iconic venue Pappy & Harriet’s. The event boasts performances from talented artists like Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Joy Oladokun, and Hurray for the Riff Raff. Peck has curated an exciting lineup, which includes nightly afterparties and a drag brunch hosted by Meatball, alongside his own performances each day, culminating in a headlining set on Saturday, November 15.
With “Drift Away” and the upcoming Rodeo, Orville Peck continues to forge connections through his art, showcasing his talent and supporting important causes, making this an exciting time for both the artist and his fans.
