The Orlando Magic have unveiled their in-season tournament schedule for the NBA Cup, with two of their group-stage games slated to be televised on WESH 2. The team’s path begins at home against the Boston Celtics on November 7 at 7 p.m. at the Kia Center, the opener of their four-group stage affairs.
The Magic’s remaining group-stage games include:
– November 14: vs. Brooklyn Nets at 7 p.m., at the Kia Center
– November 25: at Philadelphia 76ers, 8 p.m., broadcast on WESH 2
– Group B finale: at the Detroit Pistons, 7:30 p.m., on the road
The NBA Cup officially tips off on October 31 with the group stage. The knockout rounds are scheduled for December 9-10, with the semifinals set for December 13 and the championship game on December 16 in Las Vegas. All 30 NBA teams participate in the in-season tournament, and all games count toward the regular-season standings; however, the championship game does not affect the standings. Tickets are expected to go on sale Friday starting at 1 p.m.
Fans can expect a mix of home and away games during the early portion of the tournament, with two televised home games on WESH 2 and the rest of the group slate shaping how Orlando approaches its early-season calendar in the new competition. The schedule also provides an early look at potential travel and viewing plans, as teams navigate the group stage and the knockout rounds.
