Kerzner International Holdings Limited has announced a landmark partnership with BSP Life to develop an ultra-luxury resort and a community of private homes in Nacula, Yasawa, under the prestigious One&Only brand. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in enhancing Fiji’s appeal as a premium travel destination and reflects a commitment to supporting economic growth in the South Pacific.
Philippe Zuber, CEO of Kerzner, expressed excitement over the project, stating, “Fiji has long been a coveted addition to our global portfolio, and we’re thrilled to introduce this remarkable location to One&Only’s discerning guests.” This new venture aligns with the company’s strategic growth initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region, emphasizing the delivery of exceptional experiences while capturing the warmth of the Fijian spirit.
Set to open in 2029, the One&Only Yasawa resort will span 127 acres and will comprise 40 elegantly designed accommodations, including guest rooms, suites, and villas. The resort is also planned to feature six gourmet dining options and a Club One wellness center. In addition, an exclusive community of 20 One&Only private homes will be made available for purchase starting in November 2025, merging luxury living with the brand’s renowned service and amenities.
Michael Nacola, Managing Director of BSP Life, highlighted the project’s significance while noting the broader benefits it will bring to the local economy. He emphasized that partnerships like this one are crucial for fostering job creation, skills development, and overall growth in the tourism sector, further solidifying Fiji’s status as a high-value travel destination.
The collaboration underscores the commitment of both Kerzner and BSP Life to work collaboratively with local stakeholders, including the traditional landowners of Nacula, to ensure a positive impact on the community. This approach not only aligns with responsible tourism practices but also elevates Fiji’s standing as an attractive investment location.
As Fiji continues to witness a rise in luxury tourism developments, this project stands as a testament to the tranquil island nation’s burgeoning role in the global hospitality landscape. The expected influx of high-value travelers will not only boost local economies but also showcase Fiji as a prime destination for luxury experiences that align with modern travel expectations.
With other luxury brands, such as Marriott’s Ritz-Carlton, planning to establish operations in Fiji, the region is positioned for sustained growth in high-end tourism. These developments promise not only to enrich the local cultural landscape but also to serve as a catalyst for economic prosperity into the future.
