Chambliss’s decision to transfer was prompted by an influx of offers as the December transfer portal opened. Although he initially planned to remain at Ferris State for a fifth season, the persistent interest from Division I programs led him to reconsider. Ultimately, he chose Ole Miss, reportedly signing a lucrative contract worth $500,000, despite the initial competition for the starting role.
His gamble on himself has paid off, as Chambliss now spearheads a top-10 ranked team, entering the final stretch of his college eligibility on a high note.
