Speculation surrounding an Oasis reunion has intensified following recent social media posts by founding members Liam and Noel Gallagher. Both brothers shared a mysterious clip featuring the date, August 27, 2024, at 8 a.m. on their X/Twitter accounts, which has led fans to wonder about a possible comeback. Additionally, the official Oasis website prominently displays the same date.
These posts, typically used for teasing new releases or archival content, come amid growing rumors about the band potentially performing in the U.K. in 2025, including a series of shows at Wembley Stadium. Liam Gallagher has further fueled the speculation through his social media activity, mentioning, “I never did like that word FORMER” on Sunday.
Responding to comments about a performance venue in Manchester, Gallagher humorously engaged with fans, showcasing his characteristic banter.
Oasis, which disbanded in 2009 following Noel Gallagher’s departure, was nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year, raising hopes of a reunion. However, Liam dismissed the idea, making clear his lack of interest in the honor and joking about his brother’s celebrity connections.
In June, Liam Gallagher embarked on a tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Oasis’s debut album, “Definitely Maybe,” which also saw a recent reissue.
