Oasis reunion rumors have intensified following cryptic posts from Liam and Noel Gallagher, the band’s founding members. Each sibling shared a video clip featuring the date August 27, 2024, and the time 8 a.m. on their respective Twitter accounts. Additionally, the official Oasis website prominently displays the date “27.08.24.”
These posts have raised speculations about a potential reunion, especially since they come on the heels of weekend reports suggesting that Oasis could perform in the U.K. in 2025, including a ten-night residency at Wembley Stadium in London. Liam Gallagher stoked the fire further with a series of social media interactions, stating, “I never did like that word FORMER” in reference to the band’s past.
When a fan criticized a potential performance at Heaton Park in Manchester, Liam cheekily responded, “See you down the front you big fanny.”
Oasis originally disbanded in 2009 after Noel Gallagher left the group. Earlier this year, the band received its first nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a development that some speculated could lead to a reunion. However, Liam dismissed the idea, posting, “Fuck the Rock n Roll hall of fame its full of BUMBACLARTS.”
In June, Liam Gallagher embarked on a tour commemorating the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ debut album, “Definitely Maybe.” A reissue of the album is set to be released on August 30.
