Nuno’s West Ham Home Debut Sparks Fresh Start Against Brentford

Nuno Espírito Santo has officially named his starting lineup for his inaugural home match as head coach of West Ham United against Brentford, set to take place on Monday evening, October 20, 2025, at the London Stadium. The seasoned manager is keen to secure his first victory in charge and aims for the Hammers to claim their first win at home this season against the Bees.

In a tactical shake-up, Nuno has made five changes to the squad that faced a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal prior to the international break. Notable inclusions in the starting XI are Kyle Walker-Peters, Jean-Clair Todibo, Ollie Scarles, Andy Irving, and Tomáš Souček. Missing out this time are Dinos Mavropanos, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, El Hadji Malick Diouf, Soungoutou Magassa, and Niclas Füllkrug.

Scottish midfielder Irving is set to make only his second Premier League start for West Ham, marking his first appearance since early February. Scarles, a product of the Academy of Football, returns to the lineup for the first time this season, having last featured during the final matchday against Ipswich Town in May. Additionally, Todibo will make his first Premier League start since West Ham’s home match against Chelsea in August.

With a fresh set of players and a drive for improvement, Nuno is optimistic about turning the team’s fortunes around at home, highlighting the potential for a positive turnaround in the upcoming match.
