Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price has announced that he will forgo his senior season and declare for the 2026 NFL Draft. The junior from Denison, Texas, made the announcement via social media, expressing his gratitude for his time at Notre Dame.
“Notre Dame has truly been a blessing in my life,” Price stated. “Choosing to be a student-athlete here for the past four years is something I will always be grateful for. Through every high and low, this place and its people consistently pushed me to be better, and for that I am forever thankful.”
Price’s decision comes on the heels of his teammate, Jeremiyah Love, a standout running back who finished the season ranking fourth in the FBS with 1,372 rushing yards, also declaring for the NFL draft. Love is anticipated to be the first running back selected in the upcoming draft.
ESPN draft analysts have recognized Price’s talent, with Mel Kiper Jr. listing him as the No. 2 draft-eligible running back. Analyst Jordan Reid mentioned on X that many scouts hold “strong Day 2 grades” for Price, indicating a promising outlook for his future in professional football.
The Fighting Irish have not seen two running backs selected in the same draft since Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis and Reggie Brooks were picked in 1993, highlighting the significance of both players’ decisions.
During his time at Notre Dame, while Love was the primary back, Price proved to be an efficient contributor. In 2025, he amassed 674 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 113 carries, alongside his impressive performance in the previous season where he recorded 746 yards and seven touchdowns that helped the team reach the College Football Playoff National Championship.
Price’s versatility extended beyond the running back position, as he showcased his skills as a returner, scoring three times on kickoff returns in two seasons, including a remarkable 100-yard touchdown return against USC in 2025.
