SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame football team has revealed plans for an exciting home-and-home series against Brigham Young University (BYU). The Irish will visit Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah, in 2026, followed by a matchup at Notre Dame Stadium in 2027. Specific dates and broadcasting details will be announced in the future, generating anticipation among fans of both teams.

Historically, Notre Dame holds a dominant record over BYU, leading the all-time series 7-2 after nine encounters. The series is even at one win each in Provo, while the Irish have claimed victory at home with a 5-2 advantage. The last time these teams met was during the 2022 Shamrock Series, where the Irish triumphed with a 28-20 victory against the then-No. 16 ranked Cougars at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

In their previous matchups, Notre Dame has been ranked in five of their encounters, contrasting with the Cougars who have held a ranking once. The teams first clashed on October 24, 1992, with Notre Dame, ranked No. 10 at the time, winning decisively with a score of 42-16. The Irish’s inaugural visit to Provo on October 16, 1993, saw them defeat the No. 3 ranked Cougars 45-20.
