Nominate Your Equity Champions: Pennsylvania’s Early Childhood Awards Now Open!

Pennsylvania has opened applications for its fourth annual Equity in Early Childhood Champion Awards, a program designed to promote awareness and celebrate efforts aimed at equity within the state’s early childhood education framework. This includes various settings, such as child care facilities, evidence-based home visiting programs, and early intervention services.

The award seeks nominations for professionals and organizations that are aligned with the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s (NAEYC) position on advancing equity in early childhood education. The initiative recognizes the contributions of individuals and programs that strive to foster equity, inclusivity, and diversity in their approaches to education and support for families.

Nominations can be submitted for individuals or programs that have shown a commitment to embracing diversity, championing fairness and justice, or addressing structural inequities that impede equitable learning opportunities. Applicants are required to illustrate their contributions in these areas, highlighting the positive impact of their efforts on children and families.

The deadline for submissions is set for 11:59 p.m. on Friday, January 24. For further details or to submit an application, interested parties can visit The Pennsylvania Key website.

This initiative not only honors those who are making significant strides in early childhood education but also serves as an inspiration for others to adopt similar practices, ultimately leading to a more equitable and supportive environment for all children across Pennsylvania.
