Nittany Lions Land Four-Star WR Davion Brown: What It Means for 2026 Class

Penn State has successfully secured a commitment from four-star wide receiver Davion Brown for its Class of 2026. The talented senior from Richmond, Virginia, announced his decision on social media on Monday night. Brown, who stands 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 200 pounds, chose the Nittany Lions over other prominent programs including Duke, Georgia, Michigan, and Virginia Tech.

During his unofficial visit to State College over the weekend of the Blue-White game, Brown expressed his enthusiasm for Penn State’s system, noting that he envisions himself as an offensive asset capable of making an impact in various positions on the field. “Penn State has a system I can see myself being an offensive weapon in,” he highlighted. In earlier conversations, he emphasized the importance of coaching and development, stating that he wanted to find a place where he feels at home for all four years of his college career.

Brown has established himself as a standout player, ranking as the No. 220 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings, as well as the No. 34 receiver and the No. 6 player in Virginia. In his junior season, he recorded an impressive 42 receptions for 946 yards and 10 touchdowns, accumulating a total of 1,200 all-purpose yards.

Furthermore, his longstanding relationship with the Penn State coaching staff played a significant role in his commitment. Brown has been on the Nittany Lions’ radar since his freshman year and maintained regular communication with head coach James Franklin. “I talk to coach James Franklin a lot. We have a really good relationship,” Brown shared, also expressing admiration for coach Marques Hagans.

This commitment brings Penn State’s Class of 2026 to 17 members, adding a highly skilled receiver to their roster and contributing to the program’s recruitment success moving forward.

With the team’s strong focus on player development and nurturing relationships, Brown’s commitment signals an exciting future for both him and the Penn State football program.
