Koei Tecmo Games has officially announced that a demo for the highly anticipated Nioh 3 will be available starting January 29, 2026. Players will be able to transfer their demo saved data to the full game, and the online multiplayer feature will accommodate up to three players.

The game will also offer an early purchase bonus that includes unique armor sets inspired by characters from previous installments. Players who take advantage of this bonus will receive the “Youngblood Armor (Samurai)” worn by William in the original Nioh and the “Lone Wolf’s Armor (Ninja)” worn by Hiddy in Nioh 2. These armors can be acquired by redeeming the “Hellfrost Armor Set” in-game.

Nioh 3 centers on Tokugawa Takechiyo, who is on a journey to become Japan’s next Shogun during the tumultuous Sengoku era. His younger brother, Tokugawa Kunimatsu, plots to usurp him and unleashes a legion of yokai upon the land. With the guidance of his guardian spirit Kusanagi, Takechiyo must navigate through challenges across time to secure his position as Shogun.

The game will feature a variety of historical figures, including Takeda Shingen and Minamoto no Yoshitsune. Iconic characters from previous titles, such as Hattori Hanzo and Honda Tadakatsu, will also make an appearance. New additions to the cast include Tao Tsuchiya, who voices Himiko, the queen of Yamatai-koku, and Kanata Hongo as Kunimatsu Tokugawa.

Nioh 3 is set to launch for PlayStation 5 and will be available on PC via Steam on February 6, 2026. As the release date approaches, fans of the franchise can look forward to reuniting with beloved characters and experiencing new adventures in this captivating sequel.
