Niemann’s Thrilling Comeback: A LIV Golf Victory to Remember!

Joaquin Niemann celebrated his fifth victory of the LIV Golf season in 2025, triumphing at the LIV Golf UK event held at JCB Golf and Country Club. Niemann finished strong with a score of 17-under 196, securing a three-stroke lead over second-place competitor Bubba Watson.

Despite a rocky start to the week after parting ways with his caddie and coach following a missed cut at the 2025 Open Championship, Niemann managed to return to form, showcasing his skills during the tournament. This win marks his fifth title of the year, reinforcing his dominance in the LIV Golf individual standings, particularly with only two events remaining in the season in Chicago and Indianapolis. Additionally, the season finale will feature the team championship held in Michigan.

Niemann remarked on the challenges he faced during the final round, particularly feeling the pressure as Watson made a significant push, going 8 under in a six-hole stretch. The intensity rose as Watson got within two shots of Niemann before bogeying the 15th hole while Niemann made a crucial birdie, widening his lead back to four strokes with just three holes left to play.

Watson’s performance was noteworthy, marking his best finish since joining LIV Golf, while Caleb Surratt achieved his first podium finish in the series, placing third at 13 under.

In the team competition, Jon Rahm’s team, Legion XIII, triumphed by eight shots over Niemann’s Torque GC.

This victory reinforces Niemann’s impressive season and highlights the competitiveness and excitement within LIV Golf as the season approaches its finale.
