Nick Jonas has recently shared heartfelt snapshots of his daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, capturing the attention of fans as they reflect on the couple’s challenging journey into parenthood. In a candid interview, Nick discussed the intense circumstances surrounding Malti’s premature birth, emphasizing the emotional rollercoaster he and wife Priyanka Chopra endured.

Malti, born weighing just 1 pound, 11 ounces, arrived earlier than expected, prompting a harrowing experience for the family. “She came into the world under very intense circumstances,” Nick expressed on the Jay Shetty Podcast, recounting how they had anticipated her arrival in April. His voice filled with emotion as he detailed the immediate care Malti required in the NICU, where she was resuscitated and cared for by dedicated nurses.

Nick painted a vivid picture of their daily life during this trying period, revealing that he and Priyanka divided their time in the hospital into 12-hour shifts for over three months, all while navigating the additional stress of the Covid-19 pandemic. The support from fellow families enduring similar challenges offered both comfort and fear during their time in the hospital. “She fought every day for 3.5 months and slowly started to gain some weight. After six blood transfusions, she was doing great. We got to take her home after 3.5 months,” he shared, reflecting on the resilience of his daughter.

Since becoming parents, Nick and Priyanka have acknowledged how these early struggles have profoundly influenced their perspectives on life and parenthood. The couple welcomed Malti via surrogacy in January 2022, solidifying their bond as a family amidst the trials they faced.

Looking ahead, Nick is set to star alongside Paul Rudd in the upcoming film *Power Ballad*, which is scheduled for release on June 5. The couple remains grateful for the joy and lessons their daughter has brought into their lives, emphasizing a hopeful view towards the future.
