Nick Cannon enjoyed a heartfelt Father’s Day celebration with his children, who took to social media to express their love and appreciation. His eldest kids, 14-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, showered him with admirable tributes on Instagram, showcasing the close bond they share despite the complexities of their family dynamics.
Moroccan shared a touching post, writing, “Happy Father’s Day pops! I love you so much dad. You’ve always been there for me and helped me with whatever problem I’m dealing with at any time and any place. Thank you for raising me to be the dude I am today. You’re the best. Enjoy today father!!!” Cannon responded warmly in the comments, affirming his love for his son.
Monroe also took the opportunity to honor her father, posting on her Instagram stories, “Happy Fathers Day to the best dad in the whole world!!! I love you so much!”
Cannon, who has often faced scrutiny for his unconventional family structure, emphasizes that being a present and engaged father is his top priority. In a recent interview, he stated, “Being a father is not about perfection—it’s about intention. And my intention is to make sure every one of my children feels seen, heard, and loved.”
While Cannon has garnered criticism for having many children with different partners, he expressed a desire to enjoy this current phase of his life and take a pause from expanding his family for the time being. He shared, “I’m having so much fun in this space right now… But I was just speaking of three years from now [or] five years from now, who knows? I’m not against it.”
Cannon’s family includes his twins Moroccan and Monroe with singer Mariah Carey, as well as several other children from different relationships. These include sons Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah, daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell, and additional twins Zion and Zillion with Abby De La Rosa, among others. He has faced personal heartache as well, having lost his son Zen to brain cancer at five months old in December 2021.
This Father’s Day celebration serves as a reminder of the importance of family and the love that transcends unconventional family structures. Cannon’s proactive approach to parenting—aimed at ensuring every child feels valued—offers a hopeful perspective on navigating family life amidst public scrutiny.
