Former Florida Gators football star and current NFL free agent receiver Kadarius Toney has been arrested following allegations of physical assault against a woman. The incident reportedly took place on January 14 in Douglasville, Georgia. An arrest warrant reveals that Toney is accused of strangling the woman with sufficient force that she struggled to breathe, leaving her with visible injuries including red marks on her neck and petechial hemorrhaging in her eyes.
The warrant also indicates that Toney obstructed the woman’s attempt to seek help by taking her phone, after which he was charged with one count of aggravated assault (strangulation) and one count of obstructing/harassing 911 calls. Following the incident, an arrest warrant was issued on January 15, but Toney was not booked until February 6 at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, where his bond was set at $25,000 for each charge.
