NFL Films Denies Involvement in Belichick ‘Coach’ Footage

NFL Films has made it clear that it is stepping back from the ongoing saga involving legendary coach Bill Belichick. Following a recently released behind-the-scenes video showcasing Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, expressing their dissatisfaction with the production of his show “Coach,” NFL Films clarified its position on their role in the project.

In a statement delivered to ESPN’s Pat McAfee, NFL Films emphasized that they were not involved in the production of “Coach,” which aired footage captured during their studio time. NFL Films stated that while they provided the studio space for Belichick, this was merely a matter of convenience given his regular appearances for the show “Inside the NFL.” The production for “Coach” was managed by Underdog, and NFL Films confirmed they neither filmed, edited, nor owned the show.

The statement read, “When this footage was captured, NFL Films did not produce Coach with Bill Belichick. NFL Films has a longstanding relationship with Bill Belichick based on trust and mutual respect built over many years of working together. We have absolutely no reason to believe this footage leak came from NFL Films or from any employee of NFL Films.”

This clarification came shortly after Pablo Torre aired the footage, which included Hudson and Belichick discussing frustrations about the show’s graphics and the team behind it. Hudson was seen questioning how multiple full-time graphics personnel could be underperforming, while Belichick added, “They can’t do s–t.”

Belichick’s media projects, including “Coach,” have been placed on hold since he returned to coaching, with the last episode being aired in January. Torre has previously reported that Belichick’s family holds concerns regarding his relationship with Hudson.

As the NFL continues into the season, fans and analysts alike are keen to see how Belichick’s coaching will evolve and whether any repercussions from this incident will affect his future in the league. Regardless of the drama surrounding the coach, his legacy in the NFL remains influential and notable.
