New Zealand has recently appointed Greg Andrews as its new High Commissioner to Fiji, marking the beginning of his diplomatic mission on the island. Andrews presented his credentials to Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu in a formal ceremony that signifies his official role as the New Zealand Government’s representative in Fiji.

During the ceremony, High Commissioner Andrews expressed his honor in meeting both the President of Fiji and First Lady Emily Lalabalavu, greeting attendees with the Fijian phrase “Ni sa bula vinaka.” He conveyed his deep humility in taking on this significant diplomatic position.

“I’m looking forward to working with communities, businesses, officials, and Kiwis based here in Fiji to further strengthen the ties between our two countries,” Andrews stated, reflecting his commitment to enhancing relationships between New Zealand and Fiji throughout his tenure.

With an extensive background in diplomacy, Andrews previously served as New Zealand’s Ambassador to several European nations, including Belgium, Luxembourg, Romania, Bulgaria, and Moldova.
