The Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) has appointed Dr. Apisalome Movono as its new Chief Executive Officer, a move that represents a significant milestone for the organization. His qualifications include a PhD in Tourism Management from Griffith University in Australia, alongside a Master of Arts in Tourism Studies, a Postgraduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching, and a Bachelor of Arts in Marine Affairs and Tourism Studies, complemented by numerous academic honors.

His previous role as Associate Professor at the University of the South Pacific and experience in various prestigious academic and leadership positions in New Zealand and Australia prepare him well for the challenges ahead. Beyond academia, Dr. Movono has actively participated in national and regional review committees, overseeing scholarship governance and managing multi-million-dollar funding initiatives.
