Southeastern Louisiana University baseball head coach Bobby Barbier is set to welcome 21 new players for the 2025 season as the team begins its fall practice in Hammond, Louisiana. This recruiting class comprises three Division I transfers, eight junior college athletes, and ten freshmen who recently graduated from high school. Among the 21 newcomers are three junior college All-Americans, including a Gold Glove winner and a National Pitcher of the Year. Additionally, two players have earned All-Region honors and one holds an All-Conference title.
From the Division I ranks, infielder-outfielder Ben Robichaux and right-handed pitcher Patrick Vienne are transferring from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, while outfielder Logan Walters comes from Jacksonville State. The junior college additions include infielder-outfielder Mo Little, infielder-outfielder Brady McGee, right-handed pitchers Blake Lobell, Nick Gisclair, Luke Lirette, and Tony Torres, plus left-handed pitcher Luke Barbier and infielder Giovanni Licciardi.
The high school graduates joining the team are right-handed pitchers Truitt Webb, Levi Shaffer, Brady St. Pierre, Quinn Smith, Braden Farizo, and Jacob Thorn, along with left-handed pitchers Nik Toups and Brant Melancon, and infielder-outfielder Justin Domiano.
Fall practice is currently ongoing, leading up to the 2025 season, which is scheduled to start in mid-February.
