On Hulu, “Washington Black” premieres Wednesday at 12:01 a.m. This historical-fantasy series features 11-year-old George “Wash” Black, who escapes a Barbados sugar plantation and embarks on an adventurous journey. As an adult, Wash (played by Ernest Kingsley Jr.) finds a community in Nova Scotia, enriching the narrative with his experiences amid a backdrop of historical events. Sterling K. Brown and Tom Ellis also feature in the cast, with a review set to be released by The A.V. Club on the same day.

Other notable premieres include “Red Eye” on Hulu Tuesday at 12:01 a.m., a gripping series about a police officer ensnared in a global conspiracy during an escort mission involving a murder suspect, and “Code Of Silence,” launching on BritBox Thursday at 3:01 a.m. The latter series, which has gained positive traction in its U.K. run, involves a team of detectives working alongside a deaf character, Alison, to help prevent a jewelry heist, having already secured a second season.

Additionally, fans can catch the season four premiere of “Acapulco” on Apple TV+ and enjoy season premieres of “South Park” and “Digman!” on Wednesday.
