NEW ORLEANS – On February 4, the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) and its concessions partner, Airport Dimensions, proudly introduced the newly renovated The Club MSY lounge. This revamped space combines New Orleans’ rich heritage with a contemporary design, creating an inviting retreat for travelers.
Christiaan Bouvard, Vice President of Design and Construction for Airport Dimensions, highlighted the commitment to enhancing the airport experience. “This refurbishment represents our ongoing investment at MSY. We’re proud to create a revitalized space that not only honors the character of the city but also delivers an elevated experience for our guests and partners,” he stated.
Notable improvements include a reconfigured floor plan that accommodates 85 seats, new flooring, updated wall treatments adorned with artwork from local artist Ayo Scott, as well as custom millwork and stunning glass-blown light fixtures by E Kramer Fine Metal & Woodwork. These upgrades provide a unique artisanal flair to the lounge.
The lounge’s design reflects the cultural richness of New Orleans, featuring two distinct themes that highlight the city’s charm and vibrancy. The Secret Garden in the Main Lounge draws inspiration from the lush elegance of the New Orleans Garden District, creating an atmosphere of calm and sophistication through rich textures and botanical elements. Meanwhile, the Jazz It Up Bar Lounge pays tribute to New Orleans’ legendary jazz heritage, characterized by bold accents and energetic details that embody the city’s musical spirit.
Kevin Dolliole, Director of Aviation for MSY, remarked on the significance of such thoughtful investments, emphasizing that they are essential for delivering the level of service and sophistication expected by both the community and visitors. “Thanks to Airport Dimensions, we are continuing to elevate the passenger experience with high-quality amenities that make travel more seamless and enjoyable,” he noted.
Located post-security at MSY (1 Terminal Dr, Kenner, LA 70062), The Club MSY lounge welcomes guests daily from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m., allowing entry up to three hours before scheduled departure. Access is available through eligible third-party programs like Priority Pass and LoungeKey, or by purchasing a Club pass for $50, regardless of airline or ticket class. Children aged 2-17 require a pass and must be accompanied by an adult, while infants under 2 enter free of charge.
